We are ably assisted by an Auditing Contractor who also assists with Business Services and a taxation and Companies Office Administrator.

Tom Sherwood - Director

Tom formed the firm in 1998. He is responsible for the smooth running of the firm and most client contact. Before starting the practice Tom worked for Deloittes in Christchurch , a farm accounting practice and a Nelson multipartner firm. He then undertook contract work for the two local Councils and the Audit Office. Before studying accountancy at Canterbury University he worked and managed a home appliance business specialising in Electronic musical instruments and Hi-Fi.


In his 24 years in practice Tom has acquired a range of expertise and experience. He has a particular interest in streamlining your accounting needs by the best use of Computer systems including MYOB and Xero.

Jannine Pope

Jannine has worked in the accounting sector since 1985 and so been involved with a very wide range of business activities in that time.


Spending almost 20 years with a multi-partner practice in Nelson, this was followed by a change with six years in a local building company, now returning to the professional accounting practice of Tom Sherwood.


Practical accounting experience includes most aspects of the farming sector (anything from Sheep to Mussels to Grapes), as well as with tradesmen, retailers and personal service providers in all levels of business scale


Working with various computerised accounting packages allows a 'hands on' approach that can assist with your enquiries.

Time in the trade provides practical skills in many types of business.


Personal interests include motorcycling, fishing and shooting – plus a camera, a computer and a cookbook or three for variety.
